"I didn't expect to finish in 10th place, I guess no one expected that. I am a bit sad about my component scores, I guess you can see that when you don't skate in the best group and don't skate completely clean, this happens." Tomas commented on his result.
In the long program he fell on the first quad but he did manage to land the second quad, be it on 2 feet. That while he actually agreed that if the first quad wouldn't work out, he wouldn't go for the second one either, but he did. Afterwards he jumped a fabulous triple axel, but the 2nd triple axel didn't work out; he singled it. "For the second triple axel I was a little unfocused, I focused too much on my physical state. My legs were tired, but I know I can skate the second part of my program, no matter what happened before." He said. The other mistake he made was to single the triple loop. "Before that I thought all the time about how many jumps I can repeat as I didn't do any combinations. I thought I can still do a triple-triple to pick up some points. Then it was too late, my shoulder was gone and I couldn't save it. For my next competition I really need to take each element seperately and to focus on each one." Tomas said.
Nevertheless Tomas feels positive about the future. Step by Step he is getting better and recovering from being ill the past few months. "I still believe that one day I will show the best I have, I am saving it for Vancouver"
That's what we all hope and believe in as well and we wish him good luck in his further preperation for Vancouver!!
