The European Championships are here!

We are in Sheffield, UK, this year for the European Championships! This year the short program will be on Thursday and the free program on Saturday.

The first half of the season wasn't ideal for Tomas, a back injury kept him from competing at most competitions. His back doesn't give him much trouble anymore, however in one of the first trainings of this year Tomas started to have problems with his knee.

"It happened in one of the first trainings in Canada" said Tomas. "At first I couldn't jump any further, but after some time I could jump everything again. I'm still a bit limited however and my knee is still sensitive"

Tomas is skating with a brace now, but another complication is that the brace one should actually wear with this kind of injury is not suitable to skate with. "I have another plastic one now, and with this one I can manage" said Tomas.

The goal for Tomas at the European Championships is to improve his personal bests. "I would like to get more than 80 points for my short program and more than 160 for my free program. Then I will be satisfied." Tomas said to the Czech press.

Tomas will skate in the short program on Thursday at 13.00 (14.00CET) and the long program will start at 11.55 (12.55CET). A full schedule of all the events and the results can be found on the ISU results page.
